Simply Sisters® is brewing in Argentina.
While hundreds of ladies have received healing and hope from previous Simply Sisters® Ladies Tea outreaches, the ministry model is not solely dependent upon the presence of our teams. Students from Instituto Biblico Rio de la Plata (IBRP) in Buenos Aires have also begun hosting ladies teas and found them to be an effective form of relational evangelism. Some IBRP students have taken the concept to their home churches throughout Argentina and into Chile and Colombia.
It started with a Simply Sisters® logo attached to an individual tea bag by a staple. An Argentine pastor saw one and was inspired to produce a small packet with seven different tea flavors; one for each day of the week. An inspirational scripture was attached to each tea bag and the packet highlighted the plan of salvation with contact information. Since sharing his idea on a nationally televised broadcast, thousands of packets have been ordered by churches and individuals for distribution. The Gospel is now being shared with both women AND men, in part because of his idea inspired by Simply Sisters®.
Sheila and six other ladies travel to Argentina next month (April 2017) and will minister to hundreds of ladies. We are confident there will be a fruitful harvest from the seeds that will be planted and hopeful others will catch the vision for ministry through this simple platform.
Your support of DoorWays® makes outreaches like this possible. Sheila’s expenses for this outreach are $2,500. Please consider a sending special gift to help underwrite those costs.
Because of all you do, we do all we can to share the love, joy and grace found in following Jesus wherever we go. Thank you for being friends and partners with us.
