Women In Scripture

107 Countries and Growing

On June 30, we released our 200th podcast episode—the final installment in a thirteen-part series called Ancient Voices: The Minor Prophets Speak. Our guests helped us see these prophetic messages in a fresh light. We were reminded that God works in ways often unseen by us, where both judgment and mercy serve His purposes and reveal His goodness.

While many passages stood out during our discussions, one seems especially meaningful in today’s culture. It is found in Joel 2:28-29. What Joel prophesied some 600–800 years earlier, the Apostle Peter witnessed firsthand on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:17-18):

“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.” — Joel 2:28-29 NIV

That prophecy is just as relevant today as it was on the Day of Pentecost. With no distinction based on age, gender, status, or position, God continues to pour out His Spirit on all people.

  • Who will prophesy? Both sons and daughters.
  • Who will dream dreams and see visions? Both young and old.
  • Will the Spirit only be poured out on the affluent, the educated, or the socially connected? Apparently not. Even servants—the overlooked, the disadvantaged, and those often ignored by society—will experience the outpouring of God’s Spirit.

I hope you’ll join us for our next podcast series, “Women in Scripture: Unseen, Unheard, and Unstoppable.” Together, we’ll bring the stories of remarkable women out of the shadows and into the spotlight. Whether you’re a man or a woman, these aren’t merely their stories—they are lessons for all of us. Their voices still matter, their stories still speak, and their God is still at work.

Your faithful support helps make these conversations possible and allows biblical teaching to reach listeners around the world…even in countries where the Gospel is not welcome or open to traditional outreaches.
